People talk about losing a parent. They talk about losing a spouse.

They talk about losing someone you love. But we don’t talk enough about all the other things we grieve.

You can grieve a friendship, a relationship, a version of yourself.

You can grieve a career, money, homes, your health, your identity.

Or the future you thought you were going to have.

Sometimes you can even grieve a version of your life that technically never existed.

That one is particularly rude and annoying.

When someone dies, there is a clear event. With other forms of grief, you’re sometimes sitting there thinking:

“Wait. Am I allowed to be devastated by this?”

Yes. You are.

I’ve Grieved People Who Are Still Alive

This is one of the strangest forms of grief.

You can lose someone who is still walking around.

They’re alive. They have a phone. They are posting on Instagram.

They are probably somewhere buying an overpriced iced coffee. And yet, the relationship is gone.

The person you knew is gone. Or maybe the version of you that existed with them is gone.

I’ve experienced the loss of friendships that I thought would last forever.

People I thought would be in my life through every chapter suddenly weren’t.

Sometimes there was a dramatic ending. Sometimes there wasn’t.

Sometimes the relationship just slowly became something I no longer recognized.

Nobody sends you a sympathy card. You just have to continue functioning.

Answer emails. Go to dinner. Pay your bills.

And occasionally see their face online and think:

“Wow. So we’re both just carrying on like this didn’t emotionally destroy me or continues to destroy me?”

I’ve Grieved Parents

There is a very particular kind of grief that comes with losing a parent.

Even when you know it is part of life. Even when you have had years to prepare.

Even when the relationship was complicated. Grief does not care whether the relationship was perfect.

In fact, sometimes the grief is even more complicated when it wasn’t. You can grieve the person you lost.

And you can grieve the relationship you never had. You can grieve the conversations that will never happen.

The apologies, the explanations, the version of your parent you always hoped they would become.

Grief is not always clean. It does not arrive in a tidy little package with a bow on it.

Sometimes you miss someone. Sometimes you’re angry and feel guilty.

Sometimes you feel relieved. The human nervous system is nothing if not committed to making things complicated.

I’ve Grieved Money

This one is not talked about enough. Losing money can be devastating.

Not just because of the money itself. Because money represents safety.

Freedom, options, identity.

Sometimes losing money changes the way people treat you.

Sometimes it changes the way you see yourself.

You can go from feeling powerful to feeling terrified very quickly.

And nobody really knows how to comfort you. People don’t usually say:

“I’m so sorry for your financial loss. Here’s a bread basket.”

But financial grief is real.

I’ve had to grieve versions of myself that existed in completely different financial circumstances.

Versions of me who thought certain things were permanent.

They weren’t. Very little is.

I’ve Grieved My Identity

This may be one of the biggest forms of grief I’ve experienced.

Who are you when you are no longer the person you used to be?

Who are you when the career changes? When the relationship ends?

When your body changes? When your beliefs change?

When you realize you don’t want the life you spent years building?

There is a particular grief that comes with outgrowing yourself.

Because even when you know the old version of you has to go, you can still miss her.

I have missed versions of myself I would never become again.

I’ve looked back and thought:

“I would never make those choices now.”

And then also:

“I kind of miss how fearless and stupid I was before I knew what I know now.”

Growth is incredibly inconvenient. You become wiser and lose your ability to be blissfully delusional.

A real tragedy.

I Deal With Grief Constantly in My Practice

Grief is something I encounter all the time in my work.

People come to me grieving relationships.

Their childhoods, parents, bodies, health, fertility, money, their old identities, dreams.

Sometimes they don’t even call it grief.

They say:

“I feel stuck.”

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”

“I can’t move forward.”

And sometimes what I hear underneath that is:

“I am mourning something, but I don’t know how to say goodbye.”

This is something I encounter in my spiritual practice and in waking life.

People often want to move on before they have allowed themselves to grieve.

They want to skip straight to the manifestation.

The glow-up, new relationship, job, new life. And I understand.

Nobody wants to sit in the rubble. But sometimes you have to— but not forever. But long enough to acknowledge what happened.

The Truth Is That You Have No Choice but to Move On

I know that sounds harsh. But it’s also one of the most comforting things I’ve ever learned.

You have no choice but to move forward. Time keeps moving.

Your body keeps aging; the seasons change.

People keep getting married. Babies keep being born.

The world keeps sending you emails about things you absolutely did not ask to deal with.

Life continues. Even when you are heartbroken.

And eventually, you continue too.

Not because you stopped caring; not because you forgot.

Not because the loss didn’t matter. You move forward because you are alive.

And being alive is an incredibly demanding job.

Moving On Does Not Mean Moving Past

I think this is where people get confused.

Moving on does not mean:

“I no longer care.”

It does not mean:

“It never mattered.”

It does not mean:

“I’m completely healed and now I never think about it.”

Moving on can simply mean:

I am going to carry this differently now.

The grief may always be part of your story.

But it does not have to remain the entire story. That distinction matters.

I have memories that still hurt. Things I still wish had turned out differently.

But I am not going to spend the rest of my life standing at the door of a house that no longer exists.

At some point, you have to turn around.

Grief Changes Shape

At first, grief can feel like drowning. Then maybe it becomes a wave.

Then a weather system. Then, eventually, a scar.

You don’t necessarily forget. You just stop bleeding every time you touch the memory.

That is healing, not forgetting.

Not becoming someone who never feels pain.

Becoming someone who can feel pain without letting it destroy your entire life.

You Are Allowed to Become Someone New

This is the part I want to emphasize; you are allowed to change after loss.

You are allowed to become more guarded—then less guarded.

You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to leave.

You are allowed to rebuild. You are allowed to be happy again.

And yes, sometimes happiness can feel like betrayal.

Especially when you have lost someone.

You may think:

“How can I be happy when they’re not here?”

But your happiness is not an insult to your grief.

You are not required to remain miserable to prove that something mattered.

You are allowed to laugh again. To fall in love again.

To make money again. To dream again!

To become someone your former self would barely recognize.

That is not betrayal. That is life.

I Think About This Constantly

In my practice, I work with people who are in the middle of major transitions.

And in my own waking life, I have had to learn this lesson over and over again.

There is no spiritual bypassing grief. You cannot sage a loss out of existence.

You cannot meditate your way into pretending you don’t miss someone.

You cannot manifest a different past. Trust me.

If you could, I would have already tried.

Sometimes the work is not about getting back what you lost.

Sometimes the work is learning how to live beautifully with the fact that you lost it.

And then, eventually, learning how to receive what comes next.

Because something always comes next.

Maybe not what you expected—maybe not when you wanted it.

Maybe not in the form you imagined. But life has a way of continuing to ask:

“Okay. What now?”

And at some point, you have to answer. Not because you are done grieving.

But because you are still here. And being here is enough reason to keep going.

• What part of myself am I being invited to reclaim?

These questions don’t just change your career, but change how you see yourself.

If You’re Stuck

This is one of my favorite places to work.

Because “stuck” almost always has wisdom underneath it.

Ask:

• Why do I feel unable to move forward?

• What unconscious belief is keeping me where I am?

• What fear is running my life without me realizing it?

• What pattern am I finally ready to break?

• What would happen if I trusted myself completely?

Sometimes the obstacle isn’t external. Sometimes it’s the identity we’ve unknowingly been protecting.

If You’re Healing

Some of the most profound sessions I’ve ever facilitated have happened when clients stopped asking, “How do I make this go away?” and started asking...

“What is this trying to show me?”

Questions I love include:

• What is the deeper message behind my current physical challenges?

• What emotional wounds are asking for my attention?

• What part of me still believes I need to carry this pain?

• What is my soul inviting me to release?

• How can I accelerate my healing journey with greater compassion?

These conversations have been incredibly moving. While healing looks different for everyone, I’ve watched clients reconnect with themselves in ways that ripple into every area of their lives.

Relationships are rarely random.

Whether someone stays for six months or sixty years, every soul teaches us something.

• What is the deeper spiritual purpose of my relationship with this person?

• What contract exists between our souls?

• What am I meant to learn from this connection?

• How can I show up with greater love instead of fear?

Sometimes closure comes from understanding and not another conversation.

If You Want More Abundance

Money is one of my favorite topics because it almost never begins with money.

Ask:

• What beliefs are blocking me from receiving abundance?

• What does my soul want me to understand about wealth?

• How can I become a better steward of prosperity?

• What work would bring me the greatest fulfillment?

• What hidden gifts am I not fully valuing?

I’ve found that abundance follows alignment far more often than hustle.

If You’re Spiritually Awakening

These are some of my personal favorites.

• How can I strengthen my intuition?

• How can I better communicate with my guides?

• What spiritual gifts are ready to be developed?

• What forgotten wisdom is returning now?

• How can I become a clearer channel for love and service?

These questions continue to unfold for me every single day.

The Biggest Lesson I’ve Learned

The Akashic Records aren’t about becoming dependent on answers.

They’re about remembering who you already are. Every session reminds me of the same truth.

Your soul isn’t confused. It isn’t lost. It isn’t broken. It already knows.

Sometimes it simply needs a quiet space where its voice can finally be heard.

It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to hold that space—not only for myself, but for the incredible people who trust me with their stories.

I’ve watched people forgive themselves after decades of shame.

I’ve watched tears become laughter. Fear become peace. Confusion become clarity.

And hope return where there once was despair.

“Who would spend that much?”

Some things are worth more than money.

We spend tens of thousands of dollars on weddings that last a day.

Luxury cars that depreciate. Degrees we never use. Vacations we forget.

When someone is invited to invest in healing the patterns that have quietly shaped their entire life, suddenly it’s “too expensive.”

Isn’t that fascinating?

Because if you’ve spent your entire life repeating the same relationships, carrying the same fears, experiencing the same financial limitations, attracting the same chaos, or feeling an invisible weight you can’t explain...

What is the cost of not addressing it?

The work I do isn’t surface-level coaching. It isn’t a six-week mindset program.

It isn’t affirmations or vision boards.

It is deep, sustained, immersive work that asks someone to examine everything they inherited—not just genetically, but emotionally, psychologically, relationally, spiritually, and behaviorally.

I believe many of us are carrying stories that were never ours. Patterns that were normalized before we were born.

Silences. Fears. Survival strategies. Family loyalties. Generational grief.

Whether you understand those through psychology, family systems, epigenetics, spirituality, ancestral healing, or Kabbalah doesn’t matter nearly as much as recognizing this:

We inherit far more than eye color, hair color, height.

In my spiritual understanding, we also inherit energetic patterns that continue until someone becomes conscious enough to interrupt them.

That interruption is rarely comfortable. Which is exactly why I require a minimum of 100 hours.

Not because I want clients dependent on me. Because transformation isn’t an event.

It’s a process. The deeper the pattern, the more layers there are to unwind.

People often ask me why I don’t simply offer a few sessions for this.

Because I have yet to see decades of conditioning dissolve over the course of a weekend.

Real healing asks something different.

Consistency. Honesty. Courage. Presence. Integration.

This work asks you to meet parts of yourself you’ve spent a lifetime avoiding.

It asks something of me, too.

People rarely talk about what it’s like to hold space for this kind of work.

It requires enormous focus. Discernment. Presence. Emotional regulation. Spiritual discipline.

There are days when I leave sessions completely exhausted.

Not because my clients are “too much.”

But because this level of work asks me to remain deeply present with another human being while they untangle some of the heaviest experiences of their life.

From my own spiritual perspective, I also approach this work with profound respect because I believe entering these spaces requires discernment, preparation, and strong personal spiritual practices. It is not work I take lightly.

That is why I don’t rush it. That is why I don’t overbook myself. That is why this intensive exists the way it does.

I often think about the people we’ll never meet.

The children. The grandchildren. The generations that come after us.

Many spiritual traditions teach that our healing extends beyond ourselves, influencing our families and communities in ways we may never fully see.

I hold that belief deeply. It’s the center of everything that I do.

I cannot promise exactly how anyone’s descendants will be affected. No ethical practitioner can.

But I do believe this:

When one person learns secure attachment, their children experience a different parent.

When one person heals their relationship with money, future generations inherit different conversations.

When one person ends cycles of abuse, shame, secrecy, addiction, or emotional neglect, an entirely different legacy becomes possible.

That is generational healing.

Sometimes people ask me whether this work is worth it.

I think the better question is:

What is it worth to become the person your lineage has been waiting for?

The one who chooses awareness instead of repetition. Compassion instead of resentment.

Freedom instead of inherited fear.

The one who says, “It stops with me.”

That is not easy work. It was never meant to be.

But if my spiritual understanding is correct, every courageous choice you make today becomes an inheritance someone else no longer has to struggle for tomorrow.

There is no greater investment than that.

Gossip is profoundly detrimental to humanity because it erodes trust, fosters negativity, perpetuates harm, and undermines social cohesion. While it may offer temporary amusement or serve as a form of social bonding, its long-term consequences far outweigh any fleeting benefits. To build a more compassionate, respectful, and equitable society, it is essential to recognize the harmful effects of gossip and cultivate a culture of empathy, integrity, and responsible communication. By refraining from gossip and promoting positive interpersonal interactions, we can contribute to creating a healthier, more harmonious world for ourselves and future generations.

This was a really fun episode to record because I learned all about cheese fortune telling and I got a mini reading of my own. Jennifer is really talented and this was a fun way to learn a new fortune telling modality that has not been so popularized yet.
